But I can always give it a shot! Cheers to hopeful revival of Counts blog! Let's begin by taking a look at a comic related Top 5!

-------

Current Writer: Spider-Man Team
Current Artist: Spider-Man Team

Some friends think I'm kinda odd that I spend nearly a hundred bucks on comics per month, some of my friends thinks it's really odd to buy a book that releases 3-4 times a month! I always tell them "While Spider-Man is an awesome hero I would drop his book with no second thought if it becomes terrible." But this book has been non-stop awesome since I first picked it up! While most folks have had problems with Spidey when the story "One More Day" was released Spidey has had pretty much great to even AMAZING (Sorry) stories after that! That is probably to the books large writing and art team. Each arc being covered by a different creative duo. With such great writers as Joe Kelly, Dan Slott, Zeb Wells, Mark Waid & even Joe Quesada himself it has been quite the run! The art ranges from good to superb! Never a really a low moment in the books career! I'll keep paying the books as long as they keep pumping out great stories!

Current Writer: Geoff Johns
Current Artist: Francis Manapul

Now, I would say it's quite obvious that Flash would be in my Top 5. I mean, he's pretty much MY main guy. I absolutely fell in love with him when he was introduced early on in a single episode of Superman TAS and then gaining a spot in the Justice League cartoon. After which I bought many trades involving the Flash and absolutely fell in love with the guy! Both Barry & Wally stories that I have read have been fantastyic while some may be cheesy (Mostly Barry's) they were quite enjoyable reads! The Flash is probably my FAVORITE superhero of all time (Maybe) but that still doesn't mean his book wouldn't be amazing. I mean it has been bad in the past and it's had it's okay years. But I can greatly say that this Flash book is DEFINITELY some of the best DC is putting out right now. This book has been the Pick of the Week for me, every time it's come out. This book is consistently good and never has a down point for me thus far! Geoff Johns is a fantastic writer and I honestly can't think of ANYTHING that he has written that I considered "bad". Not to mention Francis Manapul's art is absolutely beautiful in this book, the man was pretty much made to draw the Flash.

Current Writer: Fabian Nicieza
Current Artist: Marcus To

Along with Flash, the Batman family books are one of my few attachments to DC. I love the Batman family, from Bruce himself to the many supporting characters and the Rogues gallery I just can't get enough of it! While Batman is not my favorite DC hero he'll definitely be my first thanks to Batman TAS. Now while I do love Batman he's never been my favorite of the Bat books, I always enjoyed the supporting characters mostly the Robin's aka Dick Grayson & Tim Drake (Not counting Jason or Todd for now). I always had an attachment to these characters, maybe because they weren't exactly like Batman more younger and lighter. When I got into comics Tim was Robin at the time so technically he was my first Robin so I'll usually associate him with the title. After being booted from the role of Robin he took on the already negative identity known as Red Robin. So I Always had an attachment to Tim so I was bound to pick up his book, was it worth it? While I do agree it started out a bit slow it really grew really fast and became one of my most look forward to books every month! With the inclusion of Ra's al Ghul it became a really interesting story as we can see Tim growing to be nearly like Batman himself even getting earning great respect from Ra's (Which is quite difficult to do). I'm absolutely loving Marcus To's art in this book and is really fitting for it. While I was worried when Chris Yost left the book Fabian Nicieza quickly got rid of my fears and is doing a fantastic job to the book!

Current Writer: Jeff Parker
Current Artist: Kev Walker

This is the book I NEVER expected to be on my pull none the less in my Top 5! I've never been in the "heroes trying to redeem themselves" type stories. This along with secret Six never appealed to me. But with a whole bunch of books were coming out in the Heroic Age and Thunderbolts was getting a whole new team line-up consisting of Moonstone (Previous Thunderbolts member & Dark Avengers member), Crossbones (Probably the closest you'll ever get to an Anti-Cap), Juggernaut (The unstoppable moving man and villain to the X-Men & man other heroes!), Ghost (Ghost like computer hack, enemy of Iron Man), Man-Thing (I honestly don't what he's from but he's awesome), & lead by Avenger Luke Cage. I had very few attachments to any of these characters so I didn't really pursue the book but then I saw some preview pages of the first issue and I instantly FELL in love with Kev Walker's art. As days grew closer to the release all I could think about was Walker's art and would look up the pages again to get my fix. As the day it released I ended up picking up the book without a single thought just based off the art. I read the isse and Really loved Parker's writing and really enjoying the book. I think I prefer this more to Secret Six is because that these villains really aren't redeeming themselves the program is more like rehab which some heroes join to gain some respect to be heroes, to shed some time off of their jail time, or really had nothing better to do since they're in for life.

Current Writer: Robert Kirkman
Current Artist: Charlie Adlard

If you talk to enough people you know you'll learn I'm not a fan of the Horror genre, in fact I mostly despise it! I hate being scared out of my wits or having having to sit through awful movies or stories. I'm especially not a big fan of Zombie related stories. So it's a big surprise that I love Robert Kirkman's creator owned book, The Walking Dead. I read the writers other created books such as Invincible & Haunt but I never really read Walking Dead. One day I found out my local library had a bunch of the hardcovers so I sat down and read them all and really grew to love this book. This book is not really about the zombies but rather the human survivors who are living in this new zombie filled world. In fact the zombies are never usually a threat and can easily be taken out most of the time. Just following the lives of the many characters that Kirkman created is fantastic. And even sometimes humans worse enemy can be his fellow man. I would love to go into more detail about this book but I really shouldn't ruin it! I'll actually recommend picking up the hardcovers and giving it a read yourself!

Top 10 Anime Opening's

In response to my friend Craig's Top 10 anime list I decided to make my own!!!

10. JAP by Abingdon Boy School

09. Soul Taker by JAM Project

08. Golden Time Lover by Sukima Switch

07. Brand New World by D-51

06. Jungle P by 5050

05. Hit in the USA by Beat Crusaders

04. Sign by FLOW

03. We Are! Well with Bones new title 'Heroman' may be the step in the right direction of reviving the dying genre. So I took it upon myself to watch the first two episodes that have been released.

Joey Jones, a young orphan boy, lives with his grandmother while working at a restaurant in the West Coast City. He also attends school with his friends Lina, a rich cheer leader, and his best friend Psy, who uses crutches to help him walk. He's often bullied by Lina's older brother because their family thinks that because Joey is poor and uncultured, that he is a bad influence on her. We're also introduced to Matthew Denton, Joey's science teacher, Who's been experimenting with extraterrestrial communication which later brings the Skruggs to Earth.

Upon hearing of a new toy robot called the Heybo, Joey believes that getting one will make his life better, turning him into a hero to protect his friends and family. However, he cannot afford to buy it on his meager salary. His luck changes when he picks up a broken down Heybo abandoned by a school bully after it got hit by a car. He tries to fix it using the power of SUPER GLUE, he decides to name the toy Heroman.

With the help of Heroman, they're able to rescue Lina and her father after they get in a car accident. We also get a better example of both Heroman's and Joey's abilities when they later fight off three aliens sent by the Skruggs as a pre-warning to their upcoming invasion of Earth.

Now I have to say I really enjoyed the first few episodes. The series has beautiful animation and fantastic music that really pull you into the series. Most of the characters seem pretty interesting, but that's mostly because of their "interesting" haircuts. The series seems to get back to the old school super robot feel, with the kids controlling the robot from the sidelines rather than piloting inside the robot. A style which I haven't seen in a show in a long while, since after the success of Gundam most mecha anime felt the need to have the robots be piloted so I'm glad Heroman is taking a chance.

What really stood out to me as the series really tries hard to make you believe this series takes place in America but it rather feels like the Japanese interpretation of America. With palm trees along every street and most kids would eat hot dogs or hamburgers. There are some cases where it feels out of place such as the classroom which still feels like a Japanese classroom just based on the atmosphere and the Teacher's behavior.

The series is written by BONES and Stan Lee, you read me, the famous comic writer who created Spider-Man and the X-Men is assisting for the writing for this show. You can tell at times the series feels like something out of a comic book based on Heroman's origin of being struck by lightning to gain his powers. Not to mention like all Stan Lee's creations, he makes a special cameo appearance!

Something I must point out is the fantastic music that was composed by "METALCHICKS" and "MUSIC HEROES". The music is fun and catchy and really was the key factor for pulling me into scenes. Like in the first episode, while the most Heroman did was pull the top of a car the music made me feel that every moment of it was completely epic, this is a show I would definitely download the OST to. Also the opening "Roulette" is by Tetsuya, the bass player for the band L'Arc~en~Ciel, which is a very fun tune that really psyches me up to watch the show. The series roles the credits with the song "Calling" by FLOW. With the help of these famous J-Rock musicians makes the shows music much more impressive.

Despite Joey's feminine looks, Psy's crazy hair and the fake American feel we still get a half-hour of action and adventure. The show's proving that it will be a fun ride and I think we all need to laugh the American stereotypes that are shown With a show that calls back to the classic super robot while fighting off bug like alien invaders, you cannot MISS this show if you're at all interested in anime or giant robots.

Ten Reasons Why I Do Not Watch LOST

As of...forever, ABC's hit television show 'LOST' has been all the buzz and what most people are talking about. While it seems at times I stand alone when it comes to my disgust for the show I decided I put together a poor list of reasons of why I won't watch LOST. Enjoy!

10. I don't enjoy watching flash backs, there's a reason we make fun of them people

9. THIS

8. Besides Sawyer, they killed off their other best character

7. Lame twists that only give hardcore fans a hard on

6. I'm too busy pretending to do my homework

5. Time Travel, it's as idiotic as it seems.

4. I'm too busy trying to find the cure for cancer

3. The mystery is unsolvable. Especially to the writers.

2. The fans

1. Watching American Idol...what? Don't give me that look.

Novella del Intro

Well I ended up setting up myself up a blog to put down any of my thoughts, reviews, etc. So I figured that I talk a bit about myself to get started on my crazy bandwagon.

My name is Aron but I prefer to go by my middle name Zac. If you're at all confused then just don't think about it, I'm Zac. No other name exists. As I'm typing this I'm currently am 19 years old, I currently attend community college and I live at home with my parents (Hey, it's cheap).

I dabble in alot of interests but I guest what really stands out among that stuff right now is that I collect comic books. Funny story, I've only started BUYING comics back in August but I've been following comics through years by reading up on current events or downloading comics (I know I'm a terrible person). But I eventually got a job so now I can pay for this awesome/terrible habit of mine. I collect a monthly pull list about 20 titles (It grows but I try to keep it to this level), which mostly consists of X-Men, Spider-Man, Avengers, The Flash, Justice League, and many more. I'm mainly a Marvel collector so majority of my titles are Marvel superheroes. Now I do read non-superhero comics but I tend to collect those in trade rather than picking it up in issues. Now you may ask do I have a favorite title? Well I have to say my favorite comic is the Scott Pilgrim series, not a super hero title but a rather interesting story revolving around an out of college dude and his wacky adventures to win the heart of the girl of his dreams. It is hilarious but I won't go into much detail right now, I'll save that for future blog posts.

Now, like most, I have an interest in the film & television medium. While I don't consider myself a film buff but I do watch quite a bit of movies of all genres, this area is probably where I'm the most open minded. Despite how much I enjoy it I rarely watch television. There are a quite a few shows that I could catch while it aired but I can never get myself to sit down and watch it on TV every week. Some of my favorite shows are Scrubs, The Office, Psyche and a whole bunch of cartoons which I rather not get into much detail. Anyways I do the majority of my TV watching when the shows are released on DVD or I may sit down and watch them on hulu or Netflix instant view on my X-Box.

SEGWAY! I also play video games, now I may not be an ACTIVE gamer but I pick up whatever titles interest me. The systems I own are my X-Box 360, PS2 & my brother owns a Wii which I steal once in awhile. While there are few games that interest me there has been one genre that seems to have have stuck to me through all those years and that has to be RPG's; or more specifically Japanese Role Playing Games (J-RPG's). I believe what left the mark for me is the game Legend of Dragoon which was the very first game I purchased for myself, it was also the very first RPG I've ever played. I'm a big fan of the epic story telling and the turn-base game play that really drags me in. While I have nothing against American RPG's I think I just prefer the stories told by the Japanese games which tend to be Fantasy based rather than Mass Effect or Fall Out 3.

Now I won't go into much detail about this since I'm sure most people know about it by now is that I make a videos for youtube. While on my main channel (CountAbyss) I tend to release a wide variety of things but not very frequently. But along with my friend Devin/Neochopstix I release a Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Abridged on the account ElricBrosEnterprise. Which comes out whenever we feel like making it.

Well there ya go, the abridged novel of my life. Well with all that out of the way I hope there will be less questions about me in the future. Anyways I hope you stay tune for future posts!

-Count
